40. Sing You Home

This is another book by Jodi Picoult. It took me quite a long time to read this, the beginning part was really dragging and I find myself distracted by either the TV or other more exciting books.

I did like the story though. It wasn’t what I expected – granted I didn’t have any expectation when I started reading. I was actually totally clueless what the story what about. I love the ending and how love won.

♥ The music we listen to may not define who we are. But it’s a damn good start.

39. Divergent

I read another dystopian novel, this time by Veronica Roth. I love this book so much; I read it in one go. Definitely in the Young Adults category, it is fairly easy to read. It’s about Beatrice Prior finding a place in the world and finding love too. It is kind of a cliff-hanger.

♥ Fear doesn't shut you down; it wakes you up.

♥ Lies require commitment

♥ A brave man acknowledges the strength of others

Aida

Sunday, July 10, 2011

Yesterday, I caught Aida with Kiko, Owen and Noel. This is a musical by Tim Rice and Elton John. I loved itMusic is really good and the cast was great. It is about the love triangle between Aida (Ima Castro) the nubian Princess, Radames (Myke Salomon) the leader of the Egyptian armyt and Amneris (Rachel Alejandro) the Egyptian princess..

Rachel Alejandro is my favorite. She is a joy to watch. J

38. The Sky is Everywhere

A wonderful novel by Jandy Nelson, this left me wanting for my own Joe. Someone, cute, confident, plays every single musical instrument and came from Paris. :D This book is more than a love story, it talks about finding a reason to stand alone after playing second fiddle for as long as you can remember. For me, it’s about sisterhood, secrets and strength.

Favorite place in the book is the bedroom in the middle of the forest. I wish I have that to run to every time I need out.

"Grief and love are conjoined, you don't get one without the other. All I can do is love her, and love the world, emulate her by living with daring and spirit and joy."

Renewed Spirit

Sunday, July 3, 2011

This weekend, i've kinda been a little broken hearted because of something I heard at work. As much as I would not want to admit, I felt a tiny bit defeated and definitely my spirit took a dive.

But that was all in the past. Today in Church, i had a total amazing experience. Renewed spirit all around, I am reminded of God's promise. His unfailing love would not let me down.

Blessings and grace will forever be bountiful with Him and I need not be fearful. I trust God and I will have victory. :)

Stupid trojan virus totally disables my PC to run any other program except chrome plus security center pops up every 5 mins reminding me that there are 12 threats that i need to remove!!!! I wanna scream - DUH!! I know but you wont let me!!!!

The most amazing thing of it all, this is the least of the things in my mind right now. I am going to go visit Mr Darcy and Ms Bennet in a few to get away from it all.

Today

Thursday, June 30, 2011

So today, I heard something that undeniably broke my heart to smithereens. It literally felt like my world is getting ready to collapse. For a few minutes, I was just silent, not allowing myself to believe it. It’s still not official but the fact that there is a possibility of it happening just crushes me so much.

I hauled my butt to the ladies room where I cried for a little bit and prayed. I cannot help but fear the future because of this. But I have decided that I will trust God. I may have failed him but I know He will not fail me.

Dear Lord,

Forgive me if for a moment there I was scared and totally sad. I offer you all of it. I trust you. I pray that I’ll have the wisdom to understand and to live out your will. Your will be done Lord.

In Jesus name I pray,

Amen

28 on 28

Monday, June 27, 2011

Today I turned 28 and I feel the same. I can’t think of anything to specifically write about that is either moving or even interesting, so I will leave you some of my most favorite pictures and GIF as of late.. :P

And last but not the least…

Dear Lord,

I thank you for another year – a year of changes and growth. Thank you because I feel I am much closer to you now than I was a year ago. I may fail you but I know that you have renewed mercy for me each day. I don’t deserve it but you give it because you love me. A love that is too awesome for me to understand.

I claim victory because of your wonderful amazing spirit. Thank you Lord.

37. Delirium

Friday, June 24, 2011

Delirium by Lauren Oliver is a dystopia novel. I haven’t been reading books from this genre but this novel is a total surprise – good one.

Ultimately, it is a love story between Alex and Lena which I both liked. I couldn’t imagine living without real emotions. Ridding or in this book “curing” people of Love is such a ridiculous idea.

♥ I run for I don't know how long. Hours, maybe, or days. Alex told me to run. So I run. You have to understand. I am no one special. I am just a single girl. I am five feet two inches tall and I am in-between in every way. But i have a secret. You can build walls all the way to the sky and I will find a way to fly above them. You can try to pin me down with a hundred thousand arms, but i will find a way to resist. And there are many of us out there, more than you think. People who refuse to stop believing. People who refuse to come to earth. People who love in a world without walls, people who love into hate, into refusal, against hope, and without fear. I love you. Remember. They cannot take it.
