15. One Day

Ohmy. Love, Friendship, Funny, Europe. LoveLoveLove this book.

Live each day as if its your last. That was the conventional advice, but really, who had the energy for that? What if it rained or you felt a bit glandy? It just wasn't practical. Better by far to simply try and be good and courageous and bold and to make a difference. Not change the world exactly, but the bit around you. Go out there with your passion and your electric typewriter and work hard at... something. Change lives through art maybe. Cherish your friends, stay true to your principles, live passionately and fully and well. Experience you things. Love and be loved, if you ever get the chance.

14. Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang

I find this waaaay funnier than Are you there Vodka, Its me Chelsea! I love how dysfunctional and hilarious her family is. :D

13. Breathless

I liked this book by Lurlene McDaniel because its easy to read despite the seriousness of the topic. I liked all the characters with the exception of Emily. I hate how nosy she is. Cooper is my favorite of course. :)

Frankly, I really wouldn't know what to do if faced with a situation like his.

None of us truly knows what we'll do when the circumstances become so overwhelming and complex that we can't even tell right from wrong."

12. The Last Song

I have to admit, I wanted to read this because I failed to watch the Miley Cyrus movie - yep, i like her. Dont Hate! :P

I knew that being the Nicolas Sparks' novel that it is, I will be crying before I finish the book - and it didn't disappoint. Of course, the plot is totally predictable but who cares? I still like it.

In the end, you should always do the right thing, even if it's hard.

I have faith that be God will show you the answer. But you have to understnad that sometimes it take a while to be able to recognize what God wants you to do. That’s how it often is. God’s voice is ussually more than a whisper, and you have to listen very careflly to hear it. but other times, in those rarest moments, the answer is obvious and rings as loud as a church bell.

11. Dash and Lily's book of dares

I keep finding books written by David Levithan and Rachel Cohn and I keep loving them. Dash and Lily's book of dares is no exception!

Sarcastic, Witty and Cool.

The important people in our lives leave imprints. They may stay or go in the physical realm, but they are always there in your heart, because they helped form your heart. There’s no getting over that.

Courage

Tuesday, February 8, 2011

Without belittling the courage with which men have died, we should not forget those acts of courage with which men … have lived. The courage of life is often a less dramatic spectacle than the courage of a final moment; but it is no less a magnificent mixture of triumph and tragedy. A man does what he must—in spite of personal consequences, in spite of obstacles and dangers and pressures—and that is the basis of all human morality…. In whatever arena of life one may meet the challenge of courage, whatever may be the sacrifices he faces if he follows his conscience—the loss of his friends, his fortune, his contentment, even the esteem of his fellow men—each man must decide for himself the course he will follow. The stories of past courage can define that ingredient—they can teach, they can offer hope, they can provide inspiration. But they cannot supply courage itself. For this each man must look into his own soul.

-John F. Kennedy, Profiles in Courage
